return next year to the city by the Bay, indulging the palates of
wine and food lovers alike. Acclaimed as
the largest competition of American wines in the world and San
Francisco’s premier tasting experience, the SFCWC Public Tasting is held
at Fort Mason Center’s Festival Pavilion and features award winning
wines from across the country.
The pouring of wines is the showcasing of gold medal wines from over
4,800 entries of over 1,200 wineries throughout the United States at the

Missouri; a Chambourcin from Finger Lakes, New York; a Concord from the
northeastern states; Rieslings from both the
Pacific and Atlantic
Coasts; award winning wines from the heartland of America to the
southern states; the best of the west and the best from the east. The
opportunities to taste, compare, and differentiate all the major
varietals (Pinot noir, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc,
Zinfandel, Barbera, Pinot Noir…) produced from the multitude of American
Viticultural Areas (AVA’s). There will be over a thousand wines
available for tasting so come with a plan to enjoy and learn of the
