 Renay
Santero is the corporate wine buyer for Oliver's
Markets, an upscale super-market chain in Sonoma
County . With 28 years of retail experience, Renay
manages all purchasing, merchandising and media
content along with over seeing all business
development of the wine departments for Oliver's
Markets. She has also consulted for local food
manufacturers and wineries in the Sonoma and Napa
region.
Renay actively provides educational tasting
events to the general public at her primary store
location on a weekly basis. In addition to her
attending tasting seminars within the North Bay to
keep current in the wine industry trends, she is
also furthering her career by studying to become a
Master Sommelier.
Renay is a regular panelist for the Press
Democrat's weekly Wednesday wine reviews and for Bon
Appetite Magazine. Renay has judged at many
prestigious wine competitions including The San
Francisco International Wine Competition, the Savor
Magazine/Press Democrat North of the Gate Wine
Competition, The Pacific Rim Wine Competition, The
Mendocino Wine Competition, the Sonoma County
Harvest Fair, The Los Angles County Fair, the West
Coast Wine Competition, The Grand Harvest Wine
Competition, the Riverside Wine Competition, The
Indianapolis Wine Competition and most recently the
San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
